Solution Delivery Engineer

Job Description

Fast growing U.S. based network sniffer solutions company with hardware/software solution to help customers needs an experienced Customer Support Engineer to work with customers on their 3G/4G LTE networks, WAN, and IP based Networks. This position performs consultative support to customers with highly complex network management environments that include Network Appliances, Probes, Packets, performance data streams, and software defined networking from a wide variety of networking and application vendors. This network engineer needs to be self-supporting in researching and troubleshooting subscriber problems and then guiding the customer through the issues to resolution. We want our customers to have access to all critical data about their application and network performance data that our solution provides.

What you will be doing:

• Using company tools to design and develop reports for 3G / 4G LTE networks
• Recognize opportunities for company and develop the solution.
• Use company’s Knowledge Management Systems to diagnose, design and provide answers to customer technical problems.
• Convert this knowledge into repeatable training and solution guides for other support engineers.
• Update configuration, upgrades and bug fix information into the Knowledge Management database.
• Collaborate with Customer Services, Sales, Engineering and Testing teams to identify and resolve customer issues.
• Educate customers on network management proven practices.
Skills Necessary
• Bachelors Degree in Electronics, Communications, Electrical or Computer Science, Network Security or equivalent industry experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in the Telecom industry.
• 2-5 years network engineering support services.
• Ability to work remotely with the use of videoconferencing amongst multiple parties.
• Strong background in 3GPP/3GPP2, IP/MPLS Standards and IP forums, routing, switching and Ethernet.
• Understanding of mobility applications/platforms IOS, Android OS, VPN, WLAN, WWAN, LAN, TCP/IP, IP SEC, IMS, CDMA, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSPA, and LTE.
• Foundational experience and training in network management and monitoring.
• Knowledge of leading edge networking technology and innovative solutions for real-time, complex network problems.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP and Wireless Protocols (SIP, MGCP, H.323, RTP, GTP, GRE)
• Hands on experience with protocol analysis tools and debugging tools
• Expert-level understanding of system protocols and interfaces (Gn, Gi, IuPS, S1, S5, Gx etc) that are used within a wireless network
• Unix/Linux/Storage systems knowledge
• CCNA required, CCNP preferred
• Server Hardware Support Certification
• Linux Certification required (RHTC)
